In my first journal I wrote things I was not doing in
the correct way. Now, this was a huge task, changing your lifestyle. First I
didn’t know what to do, I mean what type of changes I will be able to
accomplish them but I can tell you that I did OK! Let me share you the things I
did to help our planet, school and myself. Yesterday, I took my own food to
school in some plastic containers (I always use them) and some watermelon in a Ziploc
bag. Guess what? I still have my Ziploc bag in home and I still use it. I clean
the Ziploc bag and it looks like new. When I finished eating all my food I
realized that I did throw nothing to the trash can, so I remember something the
less you consume, less trash will be inserted in the trash can. Today I helped my
school; I inserted the leftover food and napkins in the corresponding trash can.
As I said before I reuse plastic bags, plastic bottles/cups and paper.
Yesterday afternoon, I spend my day out in the front yard reading a book and I
used the computer just for 45 min. The day was pretty good. All this week, the
thing I used the most was colors pencil. I sharpened them all the time. So, I recycle
that waste as a fertilizer for my plants. This is not actually something new;
my dad taught us, as family that way. I helped my house in turning off the unneeded
lights and I hope it continues like that. Doing this kind of challenges is not
only in home but in a public place too. Perhaps, some people get to learn from
you by how good you are treating our planet.![]() |
